Once you engage NightLedger as a client, you may share financial records, trial balances, bank statements, or other accounting data with us so we can perform bookkeeping, reconciliation, GST/PST filing, or year-end preparation work. This information is:
NightLedger's team operates from India while serving clients primarily in Canada. Data may be accessed from India in the course of normal bookkeeping work. We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect client data during this cross-border access, and we're happy to discuss specific data-handling or residency requirements as part of your engagement agreement.
We limit access to client data to the individuals working on your account, use secure, authenticated access to your accounting systems, and do not retain copies of your financial data outside the systems you've authorized once an engagement ends, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
You may ask us at any time what information we hold related to your engagement, request corrections, or request deletion of data we control directly (as opposed to data held in your own accounting systems). Contact us at the email below.
